Dewald Brevis CSK IPL 2025 Return: The South African batter has been playing really well for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) since he joined them for 2.20 crore rupees, stepping in for the injured Gurjapneet Singh. This young South African player hit a fast fifty against Kolkata Knight Riders in CSK’s last game at Eden Gardens on May 7th. His quick scoring helped the five-time champions finally win after losing four matches in a row.
Then, on Friday, May 9th, something unexpected happened. The IPL 2025 got paused for a week because of some tension between India and Pakistan. Lots of players from other countries went back home during this break, and Brevis was one of them. The IPL is scheduled to start again on Saturday, May 17th. Even though there are talks that some international players might not come back for the rest of the games, it looks like Brevis will be returning to play for CSK.
‘See you soon India’: Dewald Brevis Took to Instagram to Confirm CSK IPL 2025 Return
The Johannesburg boy used his official Instagram to let everyone know he’s coming back to play in CSK’s final two matches. These games are against the Rajasthan Royals and the Gujarat Titans. Brevis posted a photo of the CSK team in a huddle on his Instagram story and wrote, “See you soon India”.
CSK is having a really tough season, one of their worst ever in the league. They were actually the first team to get knocked out of the tournament this year. Right now, they are at the very bottom of the points table, with only three wins and a massive nine losses in their 12 matches.
Despite the team’s struggles, Brevis has been a bright spot for CSK. This talented young batsman has scored 126 runs in just four matches, averaging 31.50 runs per game and hitting at a quick rate of 163.64 runs per 100 balls. He’ll be hoping to keep up his good form in these last two games and help CSK avoid finishing last in the league standings.
