There’s talk that this might be Dhoni’s last season in the IPL, so he seems determined to make it special for himself and his fans. A video of Dhoni batting went viral on social media, showing him hitting his trademark helicopter shot. In the video, Hussey is seen talking to Dhoni about his batting technique.
Last season, Dhoni had to bat lower down the order because of a knee injury. He played through the pain and even led CSK to their fifth title. After the season, he had surgery on his knee at a hospital in Mumbai. Now, he’s been working hard on his fitness to be ready for the IPL.
CSK’s CEO said Dhoni is recovering well and doing his rehab and training. The team is getting ready for their first match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 22 at Chepauk Stadium. They’ve been training since March 2, with players like Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Mukesh Choudhary, and Prashant Solanki joining the camp first, followed by others.
However, there’s a setback for CSK as New Zealand opener Devon Conway might miss the first half of the season. He had thumb surgery after getting injured during a match between New Zealand and Australia.
So, we can say that Dhoni seems to be in good form, gearing up for what might be his last IPL season. CSK is preparing hard for their opening match, but they’ll miss Conway due to his injury. Fans are eagerly waiting to see their beloved captain in action once again.
