New Zealand player Rachin Ravindra had a great time in the Cricket World Cup 2023, catching the attention of Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League 2024 Auction. CSK fans quickly embraced him, and a heartwarming moment was captured on social media when a fan presented a placard featuring pictures of famous cricketers from the team. Ravindra kindly stepped out of his car to sign the placard for the excited fan.
In their quest to defend the IPL title, CSK made some impressive moves at the 2024 Auction. Led by MS Dhoni, they acquired six players, with the most expensive being New Zealand all-rounder Daryl Mitchell, secured for Rs 14 crore. Another surprising addition was uncapped Indian batter Sameer Rizvi, who went for Rs 8.4 crore. CSK also brought back Indian all-rounder Shardul Thakur after his stint with KKR, securing him for Rs 4 crore. The team also welcomed Mustafizur Rahman for Rs 2 crore and Avanish Rao Aravelly for Rs 20 lakh.
