Markram, who is currently playing for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, expressed his excitement about joining former Proteas captain Faf du Plessis’ team, Texas.
Markram stated, “I’m very excited about this opportunity. Being part of the Super Kings brand, which has left a mark in various cricket leagues globally, is something I’ve admired for years. Playing alongside Faf du Plessis again is particularly thrilling, as he’s not only a great leader but also a remarkable individual.”

Meanwhile, Burger, who is representing the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL, shared his enthusiasm about joining the Seattle Orcas in Major League Cricket’s upcoming season. Burger, who has gained international experience with two Tests, three ODIs, and one T20I since his debut in 2023, expressed his honor in joining the Orcas.
Burger commented, “I’m extremely honored and excited to join the Seattle Orcas for the upcoming season of Major League Cricket. I’m eager to contribute to the team’s success and look forward to joining them soon.”
Seattle Orcas, who finished as runners-up in MLC’s inaugural edition in 2023, will welcome Burger to bolster their squad. The team lost the final to MI New York, which featured South African players Dewald Brevis and Kagiso Rabada. This year, MI New York will include another Proteas fast bowler, Anrich Nortje, adding further competition to the league.
