MLC 2025, TSK vs LAKR Highlight: For the second game in a row, TSK stepped up to bat first in MLC 2025, and for the second game in a row, TSK posted a strong total and grabbed a fantastic victory. This time, TSK delivered a dominant 57-run win against the Los Angeles Knight Riders, pushing their record to two wins from two in the tournament.
Unlike the thrilling last-ball finish against MI New York, TSK secured this win with a commanding display, particularly from their bowlers. While the batting effort saw contributions from many, Adam Milne and Noor Ahmad truly starred in the bowling department.
Texas Super Kings’ Bowlers Lead a Commanding Victory for Second Time in Row
When LAKR came in to chase TSK’s target of 182, TSK’s bowlers quickly seized control. Milne claimed Andre Fletcher as his first victim early in their innings. Although Alex Hales and Unmukt Chand attempted to build a partnership, they struggled to find momentum as TSK maintained constant pressure. Chand then tried to establish another partnership with Matthew Tromp, who showed some aggression, but TSK’s bowlers never allowed them to settle.
Milne bowled incredibly, taking an early wicket and then finishing LAKR’s collapse by dismissing Tanveer Sangha. He completed his spell with amazing figures of 3.1 overs, conceding just 8 runs for 2 wickets. Noor Ahmad was absolutely sensational, tearing through LAKR’s middle and lower order.
He picked up crucial wickets, including Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Matthew Tromp, after already dismissing Nitish Kumar earlier. Noor finished with an outstanding 4 wickets for just 25 runs, completely dismantling their batting lineup.
MLC 2025, TSK vs LAKR Highlight: TSK Batters Set the Stage Early in the Game
Earlier, after TSK won the toss and chose to bat, Devon Conway provided a solid start with a good 34 runs off 22 balls. His partnership with Saiteja Mukkamalla, who aggressively scored 31 off 22, gave TSK a strong foundation. They combined for 57 runs in just 5.1 overs. With 74 runs on the board after eight overs, TSK knew they were headed for a great score.
Daryl Mitchell (a crucial 36 not out off 33 balls), Shubham Ranjane (24 off 19), and especially Donovan Ferreira (an explosive 32 not out off just 16 balls) ensured TSK reached the strong total they desired. Ferreira was outstanding, striking at 200, one of the day’s best strike rates. His hitting in the final overs was key to TSK reaching 181 for 4. Ultimately, this score proved far too many for LAKR to chase.
