Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has received the invitation to attend the Ram Temple consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir which is set to be held in Ayodhya on Monday (January 22).
Along with Dhoni, archer Deepika Kumari, and folk singer Mukund Nayak are among the 16 distinguished individuals from Jharkhand who have received the invitation letter for the historic event as the devotees prepare themselves for the homecoming of Lord Ram.
MS Dhoni recieves invitation of Ram Temple Pran Pratistha
Senior Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Dhananjay Singh, on Monday handed over the invitation letter to the 2011 World Cup winning captain for Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha ceremony at his residence in Ranchi along with State Organization General Secretary of BJP Karmaveer Singh.
“We handed over the invitation card to him (Dhoni) on behalf of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22,” Singh on inviting Dhoni.
“As many as 16 distinguished personalities including senior BJP leader and Padma Bhusan Karia Munda, Padma Shri Mukund Nayak, Padma Shri archer Deepika Kumari, AJSU Party chief Sudesh Mahto have been invited for the consecration ceremony in Ayodhya,” he said.
Ram Temple has invited over 7,000 people including the legend Sachin Tendulkar, greatest batsman of this generation Virat Kohli, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, billionaire industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani and several other VVIPs for the mega event.
The former Indian cricket team’s captain is still a reverred figure in the society. His contribution to the cricket team has been immense over the years. And because of that, he still holds a very near and dear place in the hearts of the people and other politicians who understand the influence he has on the world around him.
As a result, it doesn’t come as a surprise to see him get an invite for the Pran Pratistha program in Ayodhya.
MS Dhoni is set to lead the Chennai Super Kings in their 17th season for the upcoming IPL 2024. He led the Chennai based franchise to a joint-record fifth IPL title in 2023 beating Gujarat Titans in the final.
The upcoming season is likely to be his last one in the cash-rich tournament and the ‘Captain Cool’ will look to end his IPL legacy with a sixth title.
