FedEx, the world’s leading express transportation company, has announced a significant global cricket sponsorship. The company will serve as the principal sponsor and official logistics partner for both Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in India and Johannesburg Super Kings (JSK) in South Africa.
This multi-year partnership, beginning in 2025, will see the FedEx logo prominently displayed on the back of CSK in the Indian Premiere League and JSK in the SA20 League. Leveraging its extensive global network, FedEx will efficiently transport team kits, match equipment, and official materials between India, Johannesburg, the U.S., and other locations where Super Kings players are based.

The sponsorship aims to engage with fans, customers, and communities through the shared passion for cricket.

FedEx has a long history of sports sponsorships, including partnerships with the NFL, NASCAR, the PGA Tour, and the UEFA Champions League. “The marriage between two great brands – FedEx and CSK – is a statement of intent in terms of our intentions to grow big in India,” Smith added.
Kami Viswanathan, President of FedEx Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Africa, emphasized the alignment between FedEx’s values and the Super Kings’ ethos of winning excellence and teamwork.
“There is an alignment of our values in terms of winning excellence, teamwork and gives us an opportunity to engage with,” Viswanathan said.
She highlighted Chennai as a key growth market for FedEx and noted that South India presents significant growth potential. Choosing CSK among other IPL teams reflects the company’s recognition of CSK’s status as the most valuable IPL franchise, known for its strong fan following and consistent success. This partnership provides a valuable platform for FedEx to connect with cricket fans and strengthen its brand presence in India and beyond.
