Even Dhoni’s wife, Sakshi, couldn’t contain her excitement witnessing his masterclass on the field.
Taking to her Instagram story, Sakshi expressed her delight at Dhoni’s performance, playfully remarking, “Hi there, @mahi7781! Didn’t realise we lost the game.” Her comment, tinged with humor, reflected the bittersweet sentiment of witnessing Dhoni’s brilliance in a losing cause. Additionally, Sakshi extended a warm welcome to Rishabh Pant, acknowledging his stellar comeback after a 14-month hiatus from cricket.
Pant, showcasing his formidable batting prowess, blazed his way to a blistering 50 off 31 balls for the Delhi Capitals. Despite the absence of Kuldeep Yadav, the Capitals’ bowling duo of Khaleel Ahmed and Mukesh Kumar delivered a commendable performance, effectively defending their imposing total of 191 runs and securing a convincing victory.
